In Mother Earth I portray a personification of Mother Earth. She comes to Earth as a person to take a look and to warn us. She needs humans to help heal her body damaged by exploitation. With this performance I want to not only reflect the beauty of nature, but also mix it with a careful human touch and remind us of our interconnectedness with everything and the ever-spinning wheel of life and death.
I’ve developed a technique in which I use fresh leaves and flowers to print on natural fabrics. This way I don’t remake nature, but I use nature in my art.
